Minority Poplation from 2000 Census

Minority Populations 2000 (source: http://www.raconline.org/racmaps/mapfiles/minority.jpg)

From the 2000 Census, we see the population of minorities and where they are concentrated. A minority can be defined as a non-white person or those who are historically underrepresented. This map is interesting because the higher percentages of non-whites are in big cities and mostly on the outskirts of the United States. This gives us a sense of where people are, how they are placed, and how ethnic enclaves are then formed.
